Ms Nat Mouvet

(Principal)

Welcome to our College.

I am honoured to be the principal of ManangatangP-12 College.

My vision, as the principal, is to always put children first! My belief is that all students can learn. My hope is that all children will enjoy school and that they are part of a community that nurtures a learning environment that is positive, safe, caring, and fun.

Manangatang P-12 College is an outstanding place for learning, with a well-articulated curriculum and an outstanding learning environment, education is a joint venture between students, staff, parents and the broader community, all working together to ensure that student aspiration is realised into a viable pathway that will lead to a happy and successful life.  We raise students who have an appreciation of the world they live in and are able to fully participate as active global citizens who really want to make a difference.

“Manangatang P-12 College acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first peoples and traditional custodians of the lands where we live, learn and work.”

Our Values

RESILIENCE

Persistence when faced with challenges

Resilience is the quality that allows some people to be knocked down by life and come back stronger than ever. Rather than letting failure overcome them and drain their resolve, they find a way to overcome the challenges they face.

RELATIONSHIPS

Building trust through kindness, inclusion and communication

Manangatang P-12 College is part of the community.  We want to be central to it so that everyone will feel as much a part of us as we are of them.

We nurture our connection with others. Together we can do much more than we can individually and the strength of a school can be found in the connections and relationships we form as a community. We can share opinions; support each other; manage more complex tasks.

RESPECT

Respect – Demonstrate appreciation and a positive regard for ourselves, others, our College and our community

Some of our values are about how we treat other people and what consideration we give them. Respect is not usually a one-off event or action. It is at the heart of all behaviour, the underlying principle. How we treat and consider other people, the environment and ourselves is an important life value.

RESPONSIBILITY

Responsibility – Ownership of the impact that our actions have on ourselves, others, our community and environment

We have an individual and collective responsibility for:

  • The environment
  • Being organised
  • Achieving learning goals
  • Being punctual / attendance
  • Effort with a particular learning task
  • Our belongings

VISION STATEMENT

Manangatang P-12 College provides a supportive , equitable and inspiring environment where we are empowered to embrace learning and fairness, enhance our talents and achieve our personal best. We aim to build social, emotional and physical well-being. In partnership with the community, we are encouraged to contribute as global citizens who acknowledge human rights and are positive members of society.
